I was going to start off with a challenge called the True Woman Make Over, but it was challenging enough trying to start a blog with a new layout and everything so maybe that will have to wait, and in any case will NOT be consecutive because of the random times I have the computer available to me.
Now where to start....today the my daughters and I went to the library. We go every Monday. Hermione, my three year old, is going through a preschool literacy curriculum so we get a lot of books (usually between 10-20 per week). My 18-month old, Ariana, is not much of a reader but she loves pictures, especially dogs and Elmo. After picking out videos I think Hermione may have seen 10+ times already we headed to the dollar store. Now this is usually a very normal event, but turned out to be a little less normal for a couple of reasons.
1. Daddy gave each girl a dollar this morning to spend as they wished.
2. Instead of choosing candy, cookies, toys etc....Hermione decided to buy flower seeds (I am actually kind of proud because it appears she knows how to get the most for her money....maybe with a little prompting from mom)
3. Hermione told Ariana that she needed to spend her dollar on a shovel to plant the seeds (she had little choice)
4. We head out to the parking lot only to hear a man continually screaming "No Shelly!!!!! bleep-a-dee-bleep-bleep!!!!" To which I first thought he was talking to himself and next thing I know I see a lady driving up real slow next to him. She was just crying hysterically. I hesitated to cross the street with my kids and an unpredictable driver. There was a man in a van in front of me who pointed to his head ( insert "crazy people" sign). While this is happening Hermione is asking what are we doing. I say we are waiting because two people are in a bad fight. I overheard the man threaten to throw something into her car (I thought I heard fire cracker but that sounds a little random and then again what do I know?). So I ran to car put the kids in and the crazy lady and the yelling guy have parked behind me. Granted they looked like they were leaving the parking lot but I waited till I couldn't see them any more before heading out.
Then we went home and ate lunch like normal human beings until next time....
