"Waiting is a period of learning. The longer we wait, the more we hear about him for whom we are waiting." -Henri Nouwen
Advent Season has begun. The waiting time is here. He is coming. Let us celebrate with our Bibles and hearts open and our hands giving love. I love this time of year, but I must remind myself not to go crazy. There are so many "good" activities, but if we are not careful we will forget our Savior and the projects and activities will be come our idols. If we become so busy that we do not have time to reflect on Jesus- you are doing Advent wrong. But if you are loving your family and you have turned off the TV and put down the phone and stepped away from the computer for just a moment please light a candle on your Advent wreath. It is a time for Hope.

For the past three years we have used Focus on the Family's devotionals for Advent mostly because they are free, but I also like variety. This year the devotional is called All the Colors of Christmas. I will provide the girls with extra coloring pages, too. We are going to fill our home with lots of Christmas coloring cheer. Hope to you and yours this Adventide.
